Spatial Planning Consultant

At LIFF, you work on social challenges that shape our living environment. As a Spatial Planning Consultant at L I F F, you connect policy, implementation and strategy. You work on assignments with municipalities, provinces and public organizations. Where choices about space, sustainability and quality of life come together. You help organizations to give direction to their spatial ambitions and ensure that policy really lands in practice. With your knowledge of laws and regulations, administrative sensitivity and focus on solutions, you contribute to a future-proof living environment.

Description

  • You advise governments on spatial planning, area development and the application of the Environmental Act.
  • You draw up spatial substantiations, policy documents and environmental plans, and test initiatives for feasibility and quality.
  • You supervise planning procedures and participation processes, and coordinate with stakeholders, initiators and directors.
  • You translate trends and developments in policy and legislation into concrete opportunities for clients.
  • You share knowledge and insights with colleagues at L I F F to further strengthen our expertise together.

Requirements & wishes

Requirements & wishes

  • You have completed a higher professional education or university degree in planning, social geography, public administration, spatial planning or urban development.
  • You have several years of experience in the spatial domain, preferably with a municipality, province or consultancy firm.
  • You have knowledge of the Environmental Act and related regulations, and know how to translate complex issues clearly.
  • You are strong in communication, analytically sharp and work independently and in a binding way.
  • You are eager to learn, environmentally aware and motivated to make a social impact.
